Philosophy
CYD believes in treating youth with respect, providing them with positive choices, and empowering them to address the issues affecting their lives.
Our Success
Launched in 1996, CYD has been an unqualified success. Its programs and events are filled to capacity. Its collaborative model is extremely cost efficient. CYD leverages existing facilities to provide multiple sites and venues around the county. This compares very favorably to the "Teen Center" approach which requires significant investment in a physical plant and transportation of all participants to one central location.
