01/23/12 Scholarship for high school females CYD is pleased to partner with Giving Matters, a program of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, to offer this $1,000 award for a high school female in grades 10 -12 in recognition of exceptional philanthropic effort. For more information, hit the link above. 01/19/12 Children's Week activities in Sarasota County Annual Celebration of Children - January 30 - February 3 During Children’s Week, the Sarasota community joins hands and unites with "One Voice" to support children's issues and advocate for children's services and needs. Local coordinators plan and implement various events to symbolize the unity of Florida's statewide child advocacy efforts. Children's Week unifies more than 200 community events and activities statewide, bringing thousands of parents, children, legislators, professionals, community leaders and concerned citizens together to share valuable knowledge and information about children's issues.
